A light-hearted choice for men's choir, the “extravaganza” pokes gentle fun at the male chorus singing tradition. Echoing themes well-known to most men's choirs, this is a singer's song. Moderately easy.

The familiar melody of “Amazing Grace” holds great meaning to the Cherokee people. In this enthusiastically received choral setting, it is sung with Cherokee words in combination with the “Morning Song” of the Teehahnahmah Indian Nation. This simple canon will be a very rewarding experience for treble choirs in middle school through high school, especially when performed with suggested instruments (parts included). This imaginative festival setting of the well-known folk song allows the choir to “take the stage.” Marked “boisterous,” it calls for attention from the choir, with tricky rhythms and quick turns and twists. This impressionistic work is a lovely celebration of youthful romance, long ago in springtime Italy. Heartfelt harmonies and expressive melodies create the background for a tenor solo.
