Vorahnung: Solveig was commissioned by Theater Halle as the opening sequence to Michal Sedlacek’s choreography based on Grieg’s “Peer Gynt,” which premiered in Halle in 2021. The concert premiere took place on May 9, 2025, in Mannheim, with Zoe Pouri (violin) and Shiqi Geng (piano).For my work, I selected fragments from the Solveig aria from Grieg’s score and presented them in various altered forms, on the one hand as a premonitory accompanying spirit of the main protagonist, but on the other hand also as an anticipated memory.
