Outer Space Suite

Veteran composer Albert O. Davis mastered string writing while writing background music for television (such as The Rifleman remembered by those of us who grew up in a black & white television world). In this entertaining and pedagogically sound work (first position throughout), young musicians are introduced to multi-movement works covering different styles (including pizzicato for all instruments). Each movement is about two minutes long and could be used separately, if desired. An included rehearsal piano part could bolster confidence during performance.
