Moore’s Six

These six solos are intended to “bridge the gap” between strictly rudimental and concert/swing style snare drum playing. As such, while some suggested stickings are given, much of the decisions regarding, 1. what sticking (rudimental or otherwise) to use, 2. the choice of open rudimental rolls or closed concert rolls, and 3. the appropriate tempos, are left to the judgement and stylistic interpretation of the player or teacher. No matter how you choose to interpret these solos, it is hoped that you will find them enjoyable to play and will further your snare drum playing skills.
