Since 1993, The Musical Source, Inc. (MSI) has sold all types of print sheet music from domestic and international publishers to clients throughout the world. MSI clients include churches, schools, school systems, community organizations, retail music dealers, professional music organizations, professional musicians and music students of every age. Print music experts Jack Ay, Nancy Caporaso, and Deborah Thurlow own MSI. The MSI staff is comprised of professionally trained instrumentalists and vocalists.

In 1998, MSI started a publishing wing (originally called DC Press) now known as Musical Source Publications. MSI Publications includes works by Dr. Ysaye M. Barnwell, Dr. Deen E. Entsminger, and Marvin Mills.

In September 2001, MSI relocated from Connecticut Avenue to 1409 15 th Street NW, Washington, DC--one building from the corner of 15 th and P Streets, near Dupont, Logan and Scott Circles [Directions]. MSI is open weekdays and Saturdays [Hours of Operation]. Besides MSI Publications, a wide variety of of vocal, piano, organ, choral octavos and collections, band and orchestra sets and methods, theory, ear training/sight-singing, related music texts and classroom aids are available for browsing and purchase. A piano is available for customer use.

MSI accepts orders via phone, fax, email, website, and, of course, in person. Most Special Orders are filled within 10-14 business days. In-stock items are filled within 48 hours. Please contact a staff member to request faster shipping information.

MSI offers competitive discounts to churches, schools, community organizations and professional musicians. Please contact a staff member for specific information regarding your needs. We will gladly give a price quote on any order---an email or fax works best for this. We do have research capabilities on hard-to-find titles. Upon request, we will provide a 30-day On Approval of choral octavos. Please contact us with your request.

MSI is affiliated with a number of professional music organizations, including ACDA, AGO, AAM, MENC, NATS, RPMDA and NAMM. Throughout the year, MSI attends a number of national and regional conferences and workshops providing reading session packets, music displays and educational and/or programming assistance in a variety of areas.

ORDER FULFILLMENT TIME

Musical Source Publications (MSP) will be shipped within 48 hours of order receipt, unless otherwise notified. Standard stock items that are a complete order will be shipped within 48 hours of order receipt. Items not in standard stock will be shipped within 10-14 business days from order receipt, depending on publisher availability. Back ordered items normally require additional time. Please contact us to request expedited shipping/handling or specific order requirements.

We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and institutional checks in US dollars as methods of payment. For any other payment arrangements, please contact us.

Approved institutional customers (churches, schools, school districts, etc.) may submit purchase orders or establish an open account allowing a 30-day billing period. Please contact us for further information.

MSI offers discounts on most printed music to churches, schools, school districts, and community organizations. Individual discounts are offered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us to discuss discount possibilities.

All print music is sold on a non-returnable basis. If an error has occurred in your order, please contact us to request a Return Authorization number. Without specific authorization, you may not receive credit for returned items.

If you have received incorrect or damaged items, please contact us immediately. We will address your situation accordingly. Please keep all original packaging for inspection in the event we need to file a claim with UPS.

Our standard shipping method is UPS ground, unless otherwise indicated. Please contact us for Rush or International shipping requests. Shipping costs are determined by weight and distance. We have a minimum shipping charge of $7.50. For most shipments, a good shipping estimate is 5% of the total order. This reflects one shipment per order. Other services upon request include:
